A Day in Saratoga

This past Thursday, Chloe and I were invited to hang out with Alyse and Aryn. I have been dying of boredom lately and Alyse has been feeling the same way, so the perfect solution was hanging out together. :)
Chloe and Aryn got along well, despite the fact that they are four and a half years apart. They were adorable...Aryn kept finding blocks and toys for her to play with. So very helpful! :)
 We're awesome!

I helped Alyse make dinner and when Shawn got home, his brother and sister came over and Mike decided to drop by as well. I'm sure it had everything to do with the fact that Alyse made lasagna...which is Mike's absolute favorite! :)
After dinner, we played Raving Rabbids on the Kinect and I am PAINFULLY terrible at it! Seriously, it was hilarious how awful I was. Oh well, it was definitely fun!
Thanks so much for letting us come play. We need to do it again soon! :)
And, as a bonus, one of the many adorable videos that I took during our party time.
Enjoy!

Feet Follow-Up

On Feb. 21, we finally got to go to Dr. Faux and have him check on Chloe's feet. We were supposed to go last month, but in the move, we lost the appointment card and they never called me back to confirm the original date...so here we are.
First of all, we are trying to wean Chloe off the elephant Wubbanub. She loves it, understandably, but we don't want her too obsessed with it. We're getting her off binkies eventually, but are taking our time. This is a NUK binkie and she doesn't love it, but sometimes she tolerates it.
Mike didn't have to go to school as early as he normally does, so we got to drive down to Utah County together! I love driving in the car with him. He's awesome. :)
Chloe and I dropped Daddy off to work and then went straight to her appointment.
We got to Payson ten minutes early, at 10:50 a.m. Chloe was adorable and fun and happy, but when noon rolled by without being seen, it was time to break out some lunch.
We didn't go back until TWELVE FORTY-FIVE. Ugh! When we finally did, Chloe got her flirt on with Chip. He walked into the room, said, "Hi, Miss Chloe!" and she immediately giggled, put her fists in her mouth and looked at him from under her eyelashes. It was adorable and troubling. Isn't it a bit too early for my baby girl to be a flirt? Chip thought it was hilarious, and she giggled every time he looked at her. When he left, she started sadly hooting. :)
Then Dr. Faux came in and gave me good news and "aw, MAN!" news. Firstly, her feet are PERFECT. Those were Dr. Faux's exact words. :) Then, he said that she needs to be in her corrective shoes when she goes to bed at night until she is three years old. Three years!
Then again, I'm just grateful she is doing so well. We are very blessed!
I went to Mom's house after her appointment and Jamie and I made some St. Patrick's Day banners. I will take a picture when I put it up...but they are definitely cute! :)
Chloe & Grandma Janice
Chloe and I picked up Daddy from work and then got a call from the Bishopric, asking if Mike could come in. So we did and Mike got a calling...the bishop said that they'll give me something soon, so I shouldn't feel safe. Lol
It was cold in the Church and Mike had no problems snuggling up with his little girl.
How cute are these two?
We are very grateful for the progress of Chloe's feet.
And I am very grateful for the adorableness of my husband and baby...especially when they're together. I am SO blessed. :)

A Good Sunday

Yesterday was a wonderful day. We didn't do anything super special or out of the ordinary, but it was just a good day. I haven't been to our ward in a couple of weeks and it was nice to be at the Church again. Everyone LOVED Chloe (of course!) and she did so well in Relief Society. Kathy wasn't feeling very well and didn't come, but Chloe hardly made a noise. She kept jumping on my lap and it was a little exhausting, but I was just grateful she wasn't yelling. She's definitely a yeller.
Also, she looked freaking ADORABLE. :)
Also, she loves her drum from her Great-Grandma Carson. She can now drum in English AND Spanish.
Ole!
Also, I went to Ward Choir after we brought Chloe home and five minutes into rehearsal, the choir director said, "Jess, this is your solo. Go." Um, 'kay?
Her name is Carolyn Sagers and she happened to be in our ward in Orem the week that I sang in Church, so it wasn't with blind faith she asked me. :) Wow, that sounded snobby, sorry about that!
Anyway, it was a wonderful day and I loved spending it with my little family. They rule.

Baby Goodness

I take a lot of pictures of Chloe. A LOT of pictures. Most of them are super random and so I have no legitimate reason to post them...except for the fact that they are ADORABLE.
Enjoy some goodness! :)

This was Mike's doing, of course.

LOVE her. LOVE.

New Highchair! :)

Mike and I have been shopping around for some highchairs for awhile now and we finally found one that we LOVE. It's gender neutral with one of my favorite designs and it's super easy to set up and clean. Plus, we got it for a very good price. Score!
It came today and Chloe didn't know quite what to think.
Then she realized it meant food, so she got a little excited.

 Gorgeous, right?
We are very happy with our purchase.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Our Valentine's Day

I love these two.
Continuing on, we decided to celebrate Love Day on the eleventh because Mike had school and work all day on the fourteenth. For the morning celebration, I made breakfast and we played with our adorable girl.
I don't normally let her hang out in her diaper, but all the little rolls on her tummy and legs were too hard to resist. :)
Mike and his little Valentine. :)
Sometimes Daddy forgets to get a new diaper after he's already opened up the messy one...so he has to dash into her room and grab a new one, meanwhile leaving her on the floor, kicking around and on the verge of getting her business all over the carpet.
But she thinks it's funny, so whatever. :)
Plus, he's changing a diaper...I won't complain!
After Chloe had a nap, food and a clean bum, we headed out to go shopping! First we went down to the Distribution Center to get some more G's and I am loving the Chemise top. It's my favorite and I want a hundred of them. After that, we headed to Fashion Place Mall and got my ring inspected and cleaned and just look around. Chloe was adorable and sweet through all of it and we got many a compliment on her cuteness. Well deserved, my dear baby!
When we got tired of window shopping we went to Fresh Market to pick up some more baby food for Chloe. She'll be trying bananas tomorrow. :)
We grabbed some Cafe Rio, put the baby to bed and then dragged Mike back to Fresh Market to buy...
 BREAKING DAWN PART 1! :)
We had a romantic dinner with candles and my gorgeous yellow roses and then decided that it was movie time...but only after I made Mike take some lovey pictures with me. :)

Mike's dad put up a projector and it's awesome. The Beach Family Theatre! Aw, yeah! :)
Chloe had a rough night and ended up being with us until midnight. She might be teething and she could only be soothed if we were cuddling her...which is not normal, since she usually goes to bed with no problems. Our poor baby. Eventually she nodded off so we could put her down for the night. She whimpered a lot, but that is what the Wubbanub is for. :)
We had a great day and I loved spending it with my little family.
It was the best Love Day yet. :)
As a bonus...Chloe being hilarious.
You're welcome.

Also, notice how I do nothing to stop Chloe from beating herself.
I'm an awesome mom.
